
Deep-Fried Fresh Shrimps
Ingredients
1 lb. (500g) fresh or
frozen shrimps
2 tsp. salt, or to taste
3 1/2 oz (100g) flour
2 cups (500ml) vegetable oil for deep-frying
Directions
- Shell and devein the shrimps and wash
well. Drain and sprinkle with the salt.
Let marinate for 15 minutes. Mix the shrimps
with the flour until well coated.
- Heat the oil in a wok to about 350oF
(175oC), or until a piece of scallion
green or ginger sizzles and moves about
when drooped into the oil. Add the shrimps
and deep-fry until browned. Removed, drain
well, and serve.
